It’s time to Wake Up.

In the summer of 2022, Conor revisited Sleep No More in Shanghai, conceiving and directing Wake Up : a live-stream event that captured the award winning show on camera, transporting its essence and electric liveness at a time when theatres in Shanghai were closed.

The camera became the masked audience. It witnessed an entwined, dreamlike tapestry of narratives and emotions. Unlocking a doorway to Sleep No More; a portal to its epic world, intoxicating performances and beguiling close encounters.

Streamed in China across WeChat and Douyin - the Chinese version of TikTok - the live event was seen by almost 800,000 viewers, and garnered more than 700,000 interactions, helping it reach number 15 in the WeChat trending chart.

Wake Up was an exciting step into a new theatrical territory, expanding the reach of live theatrical work to anyone with access to a cell phone.
